First they came for the Communists, and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Communist.
起初他们向共产主义者而来，我没说话──因为我不是共产主义者；
Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Jew.
随后他们向犹太人而来，我没说话──因为我不是犹太人；
Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
随后他们向工会成员而来，我没说话──因为我不是工会成员；
Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn’t speak up,
because I was a Protestant.
随后他们向天主教徒而来，我没说话──因为我是新教徒；
Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one
left to speak up for me.
随后他们向我而来，那时已没人为我说话
