内容简介

在下莱茵河分支的岸边是劳渥德,延伸在堤坝之间的一片美丽的水草牧场。水位升高时,河水淹没堤坝吞噬了陆地。一个季节后,交通标志又被竖起,牛群们重新在阳光下尽情吃草。劳渥德又变成了陆地,直到河水再次来袭。

这样的来来往往和季节变换被冷静地观察了七年,没有解说词,只有一双锐利的眼睛洞察着细节。最终呈现出了七个诗意的篇章,我们几乎听不见谁说话而这片风景本身已经被赋予了空间来讲叙它自己的故事。在接近罗马营地的遗迹处,一个旧砖厂被拆除。穿着桔色夹克的男人们在挖铁路隧道。而一只鸟坐在一辆停着的车的镜子上,入迷地凝视着自己在镜子里的倒影。

花了很长时间,但最终还是抵达了劳渥德。但是人类的活动却是一种打扰,好像是对讲述这个美得让人难以呼吸的荷兰景色的故事的一个奇怪的注脚。

 

SYNOPSIS

On the banks of the Nederrijn River is Loowaard, a beautiful stretch of water meadow between the dykes. When water levels rise, the river floods its banks and takes possession of the land. A season later, traffic signs are straightened and cows graze again contentedly in the sun. Then Loowaard turns into land again, at least for as long as the river allows.

The coming and going of the water and the seasons has been observed for seven years, without any commentary, soberly styled and with a sharp eye for detail. This resulted in seven poetic chapters in which we hardly hear anyone speak and the landscape is given the space to tell its own story. Close to the remains of a Roman encampment, an old brick factory is demolished. Men in orange jackets digging a railway tunnel. And a wagtail sits on the mirror of a parked car gazing in fascination at its own reflection.

It took quite a time, but progress has reached Loowaard. Yet human activity, however intrusive, only seems a strange footnote in the story of a breathtakingly beautiful and very Dutch landscape.

SYNOPSIS

ALAN LOMAX(1915-2002)was a song collector. For a big part of his life, he travelled around the world with his recording equipment, hunting for the prettiest folk songs. Lomax recorded ordinary people, who gave their heart and soul in front of his microphone. In radio programmes, Lomax warned us that we were squandering age-old music traditions at rapid speed.

 

The film maker visits Lomax one year prior to his death. He cannot speak with his anymore, because Anlan has been brought down by a brain haemorrhage. The film maker decideds to search for pelple Lomax recorded. He travels through Europe in an old Volkswagen. His journey leads him past desolate Scottish Islands, through the withered interior of Spain and to isolated Italian mountain villages. Sometimes it’s hard to find back people or music. On other moments he discovers true gems. Old farmers, day labourers, housewivers and shepherds do the best they can to sing their prettiest song. The search is combined with conversations with colleague s and friends of Lomax. Throughout the movie, every now and then we return to a frail but happy 86-year old Lomax. In this passionate and musical roadmovie we slowly discover why folk music can be so pretty and what could have once possessed the legendary Alan Lomux.

In Leonard Retel Helmrich’s latest film, SHAPE OF THE MOON, the audience is transported to the heart of this almost unknown landscape through the life of one family of three generations, who are struggling to build a bridge between hope and faith.

Rumidjah, a 62-year-old widow, lives in Jakarta, Indonesia with her son Bakti and her 13-year-old granddaughter Tari. Since the fall of dictator Suharto seven years ago, she has witnessed the country passing through a tumultuous period of socio-political chaos…

莱奥那多.拉提尔.赫尔穆里奇1959年出生。1986年结束在荷兰电影学院的学习并导演了了剧情短片《正在溺死的男人》。1990年以故事长片“凤凰传说”正式在电影界出道。凭纪录片《移动的物体》(1991)赢得了众多国际电影节奖项。

最近几年,莱奥那多.拉提尔.赫尔穆里奇通过在世界各地像堪萨斯州、雅加达这样的艺术院校建立工作室来讲授他的“单镜头电影”理论。并在苏哈托担任总统之前,任期中及之后作为老师拍摄了一系列纪录短片。并且凭借他的纪录片“白天的眼睛”一跃成为纪录片领域里的知名导演,频频赢得国际奖项。(参阅以下作品目录)

 

Leonard Retel Helmrich was born in 1959. He finished the Netherlands Film Academy in 1986 as a fiction director of the short fiction film called “De Drenkeling” (the drowning man). He made his debut with the feature film “The Phoenix Mystery”  in 1990. His documentary “Moving Objects” (1991) has won several prizes at International film festivals.

These last years, Leonard Retel Helmrich gave workshops to lecture his ‘single-shot cinema’ theory all over the world, on several Art Academies like Kansas or Jakarta. Next to attending workshops as a tutor he has shot several short documentaries before,  during and after  Suharto stepped down as a president. With his feature documentary ‘De stand van de zon’ / ‘The eye of the day’, he instantly became famous in the documentary film world and won many international awards (see short filmography below).

Ever since the earthquake of December 2003,Bam in Southern Iran is nothing but rubble and ruin. Not only have its walls crumbled, exposing kitchens and courtyards, the hearts of its people too,appear to have fallen open.Like a ghost, the camera drifts through the town,recording the everyday events of Bam’s inhabitants and picking up the intimate,inner conversations they have with their dear departed. In doing so,the film also touches upon the relationship between men and women in Iran and their relationship to God. Above all,‘Voices of Bam’is an ode to the indefatigable life-force embodied by the people of this town. The film is inspired by photographs that were recovered from the town’s debris...the only tangible mementoes of life before the earthquake.

内容简介

安娜是个安静苗条胆小的三十岁女人。她和她家人住在大城市的郊区。安娜和她丈夫塞巴斯蒂安之间的感情平静、稳定。在他们结婚之前他是她姐姐的情人。现在三个人都是好朋友。

安娜是个灌溉专家经常去发展中国家出差。在一次国外旅行中她的一位女同事自杀了。安娜发现她把自己吊死了。

虽然安娜和那个女人关系一般,但是她的死对安娜产生了巨大的影响。看上去没有人想知道她为什么要自杀。安娜第一次意识到你可以保持一无所知即使是对你最亲近的人。当去世的那个女人的丈夫很快找到了新生活,安娜的想法被证实了。就好像那个死去的女人从来没有存在过一样。

synopsis

Anna is a quiet, slightly timid woman of thirty. She lives with her family in the suburbs of a major city. Anna and her husband Sebastiaan have a calm and steady relationship. Before they got married he was her older sister’s lover. Now all three seem good friends.

Anna is an irrigation specialist who often travels to developing countries. During one of her visits abroad a female colleague commits suicide. The woman has hung herself. Anna finds her.

Even though Anna wasn’t close with the woman, her death makes a big impact on her. No one seems to know why she has killed herself. For the first time, Anna realizes that you can remain unknown even to those you have most dear. When the dead woman's husband very quickly finds a new wife, Anna's image is confirmed. It is as if the dead woman never existed.

At home Anna doesn’t tell anyone about the incident with the dead woman. Instead she begins to observe her husband and her family and asks herself what she means to them. Guernsey is the story of a woman who suddenly looks at her own life and wonders how she became miles apart from the people she is closest to.

Next to writing and directing several short films and the television drama Max Lupa, she works as a freelance journalist for the filmmagazine Skrien and as a reviewer for the VPRO program Stardust. Îles Flottantes (2001) is her feature film debut.

SYNOPSIS

Kaat leaves Max the day after her thirtieth birthday and moves in with her friend Sascha. Kaat is in a dilemma. She is pregnant and does not know who the father is, Max or Christophe, the boyfriend of her other friend Isa. Though Sascha and Isa are suspicious of her curious behaviour. Kaat remains silent and quickly arranges an abortion. When it turns out that Kaat isn’t pregnant after all, she confesses everything to Sascha and resolves to return to Max. But Max doesn’t want her back and what is more. Sascha insists that she comes clean with Isa. While Kaat is ignorant of the mess she has made of her and other people’s lives. Sascha suffers a personal tragedy. Then Isa is forced to confront herself, and the extent of her ambition, when she is dumped by Christophe. But whereas Sascha and Isa show signs of confronting their problems, Kaat remains obsessed with restoring the past, and in her futile efforts to get Max back she risks losing the most important thing of all, her friends.

内容简介

以盛夏的北阿姆斯特丹为背景的关于一对父子的故事。

路西恩经营着一家拳击培训中心,他的生活目标就是培训他的年轻学生。他喜欢说话而且句句言之有物。他出拳很快而且反击也毫不留情。路西恩在北阿姆斯特丹是个很有名的人物。过去发生的一件不幸的事情使他变得固执。他相信他已经失败了,而且他不能面对自己的这个想法。他抑制自己的悲伤,同情只会激怒他。

米切尔,路西恩15岁的儿子,比他父亲要安静得多,而且认为暴露自己易受攻击并不像他父亲烦恼地那样是个多大的问题。

路西恩一直谈论真诚,认为要直视人们的眼睛,要朝前看。这正是他建筑在自己周围的墙。米切尔在庆祝生日的朋友和家人的烤肉聚餐会上用自己的行为对抗了父亲。路西恩失去了控制暴打了米切尔。当完全恢复了理智后,路西恩关闭了他的拳击中心。他说话变得少言寡语,每件他拥有的东西都从他的指缝里溜走了。

synopsis

The story about a father and son, set against the background of North Amsterdam during a glorious summer.

Lucien runs a boxing training centre and lives for the training of his young pupils. He talks a lot and in no uncertain words. He is quick to attack and in fact does not take contradiction kindly.

Lucien is a well-know figure in North Amsterdam. A tragic accident in the past has hardened him. He believes he has failed, and he cannot live with the thought. He suppresses his sorrow; empathy and compassion only irritate him.

Mitchel, Lucien’s 15years old son, is much quieter than his father and finds it less of a problem to appear vulnerable; much to his father’s annoyance.

Lucien always talks about sincerity, being able to look people straight in the eye, looking ahead. It is a wall he has built around himself. Mithchel confronts his father with his behaviour during a barbecue with friends and family on the occasion of a birthday. Lucien blows his fuses and physically attacks Mitchel. Fully conscious of what he has done, Lucien withdraws in his boxing centre. He talks less and less, becomes introverted and everything he possessed slips through his fingers.

In the meantime, Mitchel is doing ever better.He becomes independent at double speed, and no longer needs his father’s support. By facing up to what he has done, Lucien takes the first steps towards the future, and finally even dares to return to his son.

戴维.莱姆斯还在荷兰电影学院学习期间就执导了纪录片和剧情片。

David Lammers directed documentaries as well as fiction films when still studying at the Dutch Film Academy.

He graduated in 2001 with the final-exam film called ‘De laatste dag van Alfred Maassen’ [The last day of Alfred Maassen], with which he won a Golden Calf for the best short film at the Netherlands Film Festival. The film also featured in the student film competition in Cannes 2002.

He subsequently directed several films for television. First Snacken, then the single play Oud en Nieuw [New Year’s Eve] for VPRO, and the film version of the Chekhov play ‘On the High Road’.

In 2005 he won a Tiger Cub Award for his short film ‘Veere’.

‘Langer Licht’ [Northern Light] is his feature film debut.

《野蚌》是一部具有超现实主义元素的悲喜剧,讲述了在荷兰西南一个不知名的小岛上的三个年轻朋友的生活。

利恩,电影中的主角,是个带有野性身体结实的22岁小伙子,没有稳定的工作。有时他在继父的小造船厂工作。利恩在对自己生长的这片荒凉正被淹没的土地的爱和急迫想离开的念头之间左右徘徊,因为这里对他来说已经不具有任何挑战。他幻想着逃离眼前的现实生活。

利恩和年轻的渔夫但恩都是当地摩托车俱乐部的成员。他们在俱乐部会所里比赛和聚会出游试图逃离他们厌倦的生活。当利恩遇上一个奇怪非凡的爱尔兰人时最终找到了自己的“生活目标”,那个爱尔兰人使他产生了梦想去都柏林生活的念头,‘这世界上最他妈酷的城市’,‘那个能从凯尔特的天使们那里纵情喝酒的地方’。利恩决定去都柏林,但是首先必须克服一些困难。

synopsis

WILD MUSSELS is a tragi-comedy with surrealist elements, which portrays the life of three young friends on an island in the more unknown southwest of the Netherlands.

LEEN,the protagonist,is a wild, burly guy of 22years old, out of a steady job. Occasionally he helps out on the little shipyard of his old stepfather. LEEN struggles with the dilemma of loving the overwhelming desolate land of his youth and the desire to leave, because there’s absolutely no challenge for him. To escape his daily reality LEEN fantasizes.

LEEN and the young fisherman DAAN are both members of a local motorbike-club. They race and hang out at the clubhouse trying to chase away their boredom. LEEN finds his “goal in life” when he meets a weird, remarkable Irishman, who makes him fantasize about a live in Dubin,”the greatest fuckin’city in the world’,’where one drinks black booze from the Celtic Angels’. LEEN decides to go to Dubin, but first there are some obstacles to overcome.

The young sensitive JACOB, still attending high school wants to join the motor club as well...

艾力克.德.布努恩1962年出生在自兰(在荷兰南方偏远地区,盛产野蚌)。他在乌得勒支学习了社会学并在阿姆斯特丹毕业于电影艺术/通信科学专业。

1990年起他开始在一些影片和电视系列片中出演角色。作为演员他在1990年即凭借在《如何让破碎的心存活》一片中的表演获得葡萄牙电影节最佳男主角银海豚奖。

除了制作电影以外他还是一位积极的音乐家。《野蚌》是他作为导演的首部剧情长片。其中的几首歌曲则是他自己创作的。

 

Erik de Bruyn was born in  1962 and grew up in Zeeland(the remote southern region of the Netherlands where Wild Mussels is located).He studied sociology in Utrecht and graduated in Film Arts/Communication Science, Amsterdam.

From 1990 on he acted in several films and television series.As an actor he was awarded Best Male actor 1990 at the filmfestival of Troia in Portugal(Silver Dophin for his role in How to survive a broken heart).

Besides filmmaker he is an active musician.WILD MUSSELS is de Bruyn’s feature film debut as a director. Several songs in the film are his own compositions.

Ils decident de se rendre en Grece, pour retrouver cette statue. De retour a Paris, Jules et Jim font la connaissance de Catherine, qui a le meme sourire que la mysterieuse statue. Jules l'epouse. La guerre 14-18 separe les deux amis. Lorsqu'ils se retrouvent, Catherine se met a aimer Jim.

本片通过大量照片复原了巴黎第20区一条已经消失的名为温兰的街道。温兰街命名于1863年,一百多年后变得肮脏不堪,拍摄本片时被完全拆除。法国犹太作家乔治佩雷克(Georges Perec)就出生在这条街道的24号,并在这里度过了生命中最初的6年。

Le 4 mars 1982, le lendemain meme de la mort de Perec, la pioche des demolisseurs achevait de la rayer de la carte, abattant notamment la maison ou l’ecrivain avait passe les six premieres annees de sa vie et ou sa mere, deportee a Auschwitz en 1942, tenait un salon de coiffure.
