另类摇滚乐队The Fray 2002年在美国丹佛市成立，由4人组成，包括：同为校友的Isaac Slade（主唱和钢琴）和Joe King（吉他，演唱）以及后加入的Dave

经过三年的努力，在2005年的9月终于推出了首张专辑《How to Save a Life》，而之前的单曲《Over My Head (Cable Car)》则最早出现在电影原声大碟《Stealth》之中。乐队风格与英国的Coldplay和Keane相似，但THE
FRAY的特点在于乐队对钢琴的钟爱。专辑中的主打歌曲《Over My Head (Cable Car)》无疑是一首值得多听几遍的歌曲，而标题歌曲《How to
Save a Life》来得更加的抒情，开场的钢琴绝对让人沉醉，歌曲也在很大程度上和《Over My Head (Cable Car)》打成平手，专辑在美国本土卖了150万张，在BILLBOARD专辑榜上更是排到了前12名的位置
