Gala是一支来自北京的年轻乐队。也正如他们那喜庆的名字一般充满朝气。乐队成立于04年初，并于04年发行了一张8首歌的独立专辑。
GALA是由3个80年代出生的青年组成，是垮掉的一代、是重生的一代、是无言的一代。
GALA是一支只用吉他来创造美妙旋律的乐队，他们没有模仿的成熟，也没有模仿出来的技巧，歌曲没有任何的矫柔造作，也没有任何的伤感。在这样美好的音乐里，只有对青春无穷无尽的热爱。
听这张专缉，听《young for you》，第一感觉是简单的吉他伴奏，然后有贝司和节奏鼓点加了进来，最后似乎是“不正经”的演唱。但你听起来的时候，会觉得很轻松，很自然，很惬意。整首歌看似简单，但调调听起来蛮好的。好象是玩世不恭的唱调，活泼的音乐。清爽的扫弦，错落的切音，SUDOO充满磁性的英文发音，充满自由的气息。
乐队现有4名正式成员，主唱：suddoo，吉他：王子，BASS：木木，加上新加入的鼓手：俺不知道名字额。近期乐队换了新的吉他手，俺也不知道名字额。他们的音乐风格，有一些英式，有一些punk
pop。Suddoo的演唱是乐队的亮点。他的发音比较特别，有一些调皮，一些怪诞，有一些温暖。他们的歌曲大多编配简单，没有刻意的强加什么，随意欢快，但是有些曲子却是透着淡淡的忧伤。忧伤但不沉溺，彷徨但却坚定。从中我听到了真实，他们真切的诉说着自己内心的欢乐，阳光明媚或是苦闷，你听到了什么？正如他们歌词写的那样，life's
just a kaleidoscope，你能从里面看到什么？每个人体味的都不一样吧。有时候感觉到一首打动自己的歌，并不都需要那些华丽复杂的编配，无懈可击的技术，简简单单同样能打动人。
一般来说，提到中国的乐队总有人喜欢提及模仿的问题，这个大可不必。毕竟诸如brit-pop,gothic,dark wave很多音乐类型的发源地都不在中国。说这个像谁谁那个又像谁谁有时候都是难免，毕竟有些东西别人在你之前弄出来，国外要比国内的发展久远得多。并且有些类型其实是共通的。只要有自己的特色，走出自己的路就好。
英文歌词一直是香港摇滚的痛，评论有说这种情况在中国内地也有很明显的上升趋势。不过个人觉得这没有啥好大惊小怪的。有些人就会认为英文的韵律比较适合演唱自己的歌，英文比较符合自己想表达的意图。这也无可厚非吧。Gala乐队的歌词也大部分是英文的，这可能跟主唱过硬的英文功底有关吧：）
